Made Here Now, a project aimed at encouraging the growth of manufacturing in the UK as well as attracting more young people to consider working in the industry, has been named event partner for Made in the Midlands.
Made Here Now is the brainchild of former manufacturing editor of the Financial Times, Peter Marsh, and aims to promote all that’s great about the UK’s manufacturing capabilities – a perfect match for the aims of Made in the Midlands.
Made Here Now will be on Stand 61 where industry stakeholders will be able to find out more about this exciting initiative.
Peter Marsh said: “Made Here Now aims to promote all that’s great about the UK’s manufacturing capabilities and to be able to support Made in the Midlands seems a perfect match for our aims with so many manufacturers already based in this region.
“We are supported by some of the UK’s leading industrial lights including Airbus, BAE Systems, JCB, Renishaw and Aston University to name but a few, and will be hoping many more Midlands based manufacturers will join us as well.
“I am convinced that through events such as this and by working together to show the best of the industry we can attract the best and brightest talent into the sector which will ensure its continued growth and importance to the economy,” he added.
Made in the Midlands Chief Executive, Jason Pitt said: "It is great to announce that Made Here Now will be one of the event partners for our upcoming Exhibition. They are passionate about promoting manufacturing capabilities and we are looking forward to working with them in the future.”
