Midlands industry continues to be the driving force behind UK GDP and it is companies in this area which continue to create jobs, innovate world class products and services and have a vitally important role in the future of our economy. This event champions British industry - Be part of the story.
Abigail Leachman, Regional Manager for the East Midlands said “The East Midlands Manufacturing Show is a great showcase opportunity for our members – we feel this is a fantastic representation of the whole region as well and casts more of the limelight to an area of equal economic importance to Birmingham and the Black Country. The event will be held at iPro Stadium, Derby, commencing from 9am and we welcome all members to come and see what’s on offer from members in this area.”
Made in the Midlands CEO, Jason Pitt said “Regional Development Agencies six years ago under previous government had to split up the region for ease of government support into East Midlands and West Midlands and we’ve worked hard to help firms in either side work more with one another between what is the two most powerful contributors to manufacturing and engineering output in the U.K. The event in Derby has been a consequence of feedback and interest from our members and represents a serious statement of intent by our brand to put on such an ambitious event in this area.”
Margaret Beckett, former Labour Party leader and MP for Derby South will be opening the event and seeing what some of the most diverse companies in the region and producing right now.
The event will also have an interactive seminar schedule including experts from UKTI, our event partners who are assisting firms in their export drive in the middle of UK export week.
The exhibition itself will act as a tremendous networking opportunity and all members are encouraged to attend the event and make some new business contacts.
